It’s a rainy day, but I had a nice walk this morning. It’s warm enough that I don’t need a hat and scarf anymore, so I walked downtown with my spring coat and umbrella, got my hair cut and did a few other small errands. I forgot how much I like going on walks, they’re [...]

I haven’t mentioned it before, but I also write reviews for a friend’s gaming site, Critical Hits, as Elena99. I scrolled down today to look at the past posts, and there is a knitting book in the Amazon.com ads. For Wendy Knits, which I don’t own. CH has nothing to do with knitting, I’m sure [...]

I’m about 20 rows in, but I thought I’d show the first part:
I like how the k1tf&b makes that neat line. I always wondered how that was accomplished, and though I’ve used that stitch in Clapotis, I didn’t realize that it also did that.

I found a use for my some lighter/some darker variegated yarn.
I’ve been looking for a good pattern, and debated redoing the hoodie without the hoodie (and a new neckline), adding waist shaping and removing the pocket altogether. I also thought about doing this sweater, but decided against it.
Knitty’s Kyoto has been on my list, but [...]

I finished Under the Hoodie today. I won’t be taking pictures of it, however, as I realized while trying it on that it just wasn’t me. The hood/neckline, the pocket (which starts too high up, because I forgot to take that into account when reducing the front’s length), the lack of waist shaping. I’m sad [...]
